Background:

Epsom and Ewell High School is a mixed comprehensive school catering for students aged 11 to 18. Its facilities include an administrative suite with photocopying facilities, medical rest room and all office requirements including a 16 station computer network; two fully equipped drama studios with lights, enough to stage a large scale production; a superb new ICT centre housing 55 networked computers, CD ROM and internet facilities; six carpeted classrooms with Monteray Chaparral satellite station allowing access to all European language broadcasting source in one of the rooms; a superbly equipped wing with recording and practice rooms, a very fine octagonal recital room and keyboard room; 10 full sized modern laboratories served by a team of highly skilled technicians from a central master preparatory room; separate building with students' common room, study and office facilities. The school offers a wide range of GCSE, vocational and A level courses and are justifiable proud of its record of sending students on to higher and further education. It also takes part in sporting fixtures against other schools and it has had students representing Surrey at athletics, swimming, football, basketball, gymnastics and triathlon.
