Background:
Housed in modern buildings on the edge of Lightwater Country Park and Leisure Centre, half a mile from the M3, the school is proud of its 'excellent' provision of the National Curriculum. It also offers French for Years 4, 5 and 6. A full-time special educational needs (SEN) teacher, three classroom assistants and a resourced room are available, as are additional literacy, mathematics and booster programmes, while more able children are 'challenged in all year groups. Facilities at the school include large playing fields. Games (netball, football, rugby, hockey, athletics), recorder, cross-country, drama, art and dance are all offered as extra-curricular activities. The school enjoys success in local sports tournaments, and its choir and orchestra have attended a concert at the Albert Hall and local festivals. The school maintains community links and contributes to charity.
