Background:

St Mary's CofE Controlled Primary School, Byfleet, has 10 classrooms and an information and communication technology suite. There is an extra-class teaching area for mathematics and music, two group rooms, a literacy support unit, a hall, a pavilion, a library and a home economics area. The school'site has a field, two playgrounds, a hide and seek area, a shaded seating area, an infant outdoor classroom, a science area with a pond, a park and nature area for older pupils with an adventure trail and woodland area, and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Teams enter district tournaments for netball, cricket, rugby, rounders, five-a-side and seven-a-side football.
