Background:

The Magna Carta School is based near the historic suite at Runnymede where the Magna Carta was sealed by King John. The school provides a wide range of accommodation facilities. Music is accommodated in a suite of two teaching rooms and three practice rooms found within the creative arts block. Two food technology rooms, one textile room, three multi-material workshops and one fully furbished graphics room. There is a wide range of sporting activities during the lunch-hour and after-school including archery, art, athletics, basketball, computer clubs, chess club, cricket, drama, hockey, language clubs, netball, rounders, rugby, science, reading club and soccer club. It has strong links with the local community and close liaison with primary schools and Post 16 institutions. The school has also achieved the following awards: Investors in People and Schools Achievement award and also been designated as Specialist in Technology Colleges. The school aims to provide a safe, caring and happy environment.
