Background:
Walton-on-the-Hill Primary School was originally built at the beginning of this century. For many years the school provided education for children from the age of five to eight. The school became a five to 11 primary school in September 1994 and gradually grew in size, adding one-year group each year. The school has original classrooms and resource area, a new sports hall, a purpose-built reception class with its own play area and a set of offices were built. The national curriculum covers the following subjects English, mathematics, science, technology, information technology, history, geography, art, music and physical education. The school will continue to strive for a warm friendly atmosphere where the children can feel happy and secure and where they can grow in independence and confidence.
