Background:

Woolmer Hill School is a small, mixed comprehensive situated on the edge of Haslemere, a generally very advantaged area. The science block has recently been improved and a floodlit sports pitch was added in 1992. The technology department was entirely refurbished in 2003, with a new design hub. The art department is currently being totally refurbished and redesigned. The extra-curricular activities programme is both varied and changing and reflects the wide range of interests of pupils and expertise of staff. These activities including theatrical and musical productions, recording studio, homework club and presentation evenings for gymnastics and dance. Sporting activities vary seasonally and include lunch and after-school practices for rugby, trampolining and also fixtures in the following activities: athletics, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rounders and tennis. The school aims to prepare pupils to become highly motivated, responsible and well-qualified young adults.
