Background:
Knaphill School is situated in the centre of Knaphill, a village to the West of Woking. It is housed in a two-story building with classrooms, a resource area, assembly hall offices, with the servery and Year 3 classroom separate from the main building. There are two playground areas and a large outdoor heated swimming pool, while the playing field is nearby, accessible through the recreation ground. The school organises a variety of physical activities and participates in district sports competitions. Successes include being runner up in their league in the Chobham Rugby Club's New Image Rugby Festival, district swimming champions and winners of the Woking inter-school chess competition. The school also won the 'Woking In Bloom' competition for best school environmental area, and has its own orchestra. Pupils contribute to the local community with donations as part of the Harvest Festival and money has been raised for a variety of charities.
