It caters for children aged between seven and eleven years of age. The school began in a building in Rushett Road in 1874 and moved to the present site in 1974. The accommodation consists of six classrooms, a spacious hall, specialist information and communication technology suite, music room, library area and two small group rooms. There are hard surfaced playgrounds around the building and extensive playing fields attached to the school. There are very close links with St Mary's Church and there are combined services for the school and Church family twice each term at which parents and friends are particularly welcome.
