Background:

Pirbright Village Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. It is fortunate to be set in beautiful grounds and encourage the children to care for the various gardens and other planted areas. Many children come from the village but the school take in a large number of children from surrounding towns and villages. In addition, it also take in approximately sixty children whose parents are involved with the armed services and are usually situated in the Pirbright, Brookwood or Deepcut camps. The school is very proud of its links with the village of Pirbright and takes an interest in all that is going on within the village. In 2001 the school was awarded the first prize in the David Bellamy environmental competition and the school received £8000 as first prize. It is building upon its success and always looking to further improve our school. Children can also participate in a wide varity of extra activities at lunchtimes and after school.
