Background:

Ryden School is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 18 years, maintained by Surrey county council. The school is pleasantly situated with extensive playing fields. Specialist rooms include a music studio, a music technology room, science laboratories, art studios, a drama studio, technology rooms, information technology and business studio rooms, a learning resource centre, a gymnasium, a sports hall and a dinning hall. Drama and music flourish in the school and there are usually at least four productions in the school year. The choirs, bands and various ensembles are well supported and give performances regularly. The school has achieved the following awards: Artsmark Silver and Investors in People Status. The school aims to create a learning community where the school is committed to increasing its knowledge and gaining the wisdom to apply its knowledge and skills for the benefit of all.
