Background:
Walsh CofE Junior School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is seven to 11. Each class has its own computer, but the focused ICT teaching takes part in its suite. The school aims to provide the children in its care with the skills and knowledge they require to use such technology effectively. All children use listening and singing skills in a weekly hymn practice and daily assemblies. There are a variety of clubs and activities available to children at lunchtime and after-school hours. The school offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including: athletics, choir, dance, judo, literacy, rounders team and rugby team. The school promotes a dynamic learning environment, in which children are supported, respected, encouraged and motivated as individuals.
