St Matthew's is a Church of England co-educational primary school for aged five to 11 years. The school is housed in excellent modern buildings and occupies an extensive and attractive site close to the centre of Redhill. The school has 14 classrooms, library, hall equipped for gymnastics, dining area, kitchen and a resource for physically disabled pupils. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including choir, Latin, French, recorders, dance, gardening, drama, art, rugby, basketball, netball, football, tennis and athletics. The national curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics, science, information and communication technology, religious education and foundation subjects including history, geography, art, music, physical education, design and technology. The school has close links with secondary schools in the area which allows access to some of their facilities. The school aims to provide a safe, happy and inclusive environment where each individual child is valued.
